Our engine test cells are equipped with combustion analysis systems to make efficient work of your development or validation projects. Excel Engineering utilizes the highest quality INDICOM systems made by AVL. We also have experience and in house machining capability to modify cylinder heads and install pressure transducers.

Crank-angle based high speed data analysis eliminates all the guesswork. You can identify your cylinder pressure limit, preignition, and knock. Its easy to create safe and effective ignition calibrations and identify knock intensity windows for effective ignition timing advance or retard engine control functionality. Utilize a design of experiments and create a full ignition efficiency characteristic with integrated combustion exhaust temperatures and brake specific fuel consumption.
